Hi, welcome to my blog! My name is Brooke, and I wanted to create a space to document my summer travels and all my other adventures going forward, so I hope you enjoy reading about them. I am currently typing this on a plane en route to Paris, France (CDG) from Los Angeles, California (LAX). It is my first time ever going out of the country, and I could not be more excited!
My family and I are staying in Paris for a few days and taking a day trip to Versailles, then flying into Italy and visiting multiple cities there for a few days each before finally returning home to California. Paris has been my dream vacation destination ever since I can remember; I recall my grandma showing me a picture of her standing in front of the Eiffel Tower when I was around three years old, and it instantly left me in awe. I’m looking forward to seeing all the historical sites, art, and architecture in the places I’m visiting, as well as just experiencing the culture and being in a location so different from home.
I plan to utilize this website as a tool to share any fun or interesting events happening in my life, in addition to expressing my thoughts on any other topics that cross my mind. I enjoy writing in my free time and I’m always coming up with new ideas and random fragments of thoughts, so this blog may evolve over time as I experiment with my writing and dabble in different focuses. I’ll be extensively covering my France and Italy trip and any other trips in my future, but I actually don’t travel very often so this is not strictly a travel blog. I look forward to seeing where it goes, and hopefully you can enjoy and even learn something from it too!
